Collection of white glazed ceramic vases<\/h2>

French ceramist Karen Swami explores the silent poetry of nature through her unique ceramic work. In her Galuchat Blanc<\/em> series, she captures the beauty of arid, desert landscapes using a white glaze enriched with bone ash. Applied to red or grey stoneware, this glaze creates a distinctive crackled surface \u2014 a texture that evokes sun-scorched earth, dry riverbeds, or ancient terrain shaped by time.<\/strong><\/p>

Originally inspired by these dry landscapes, Swami\u2019s work gradually evolved. By experimenting with glaze thickness, oxide combinations, and different clays, she began to evoke not only the desert but also the tactile quality of shagreen<\/em> \u2014 the finely grained leather once used in decorative arts. Her ceramic surfaces suggest the meeting point of animal, vegetal, and mineral worlds.<\/p>

Every white ceramic vase in the Galuchat Blanc<\/em> collection is handcrafted with attention to both form and texture. The cracked glaze, unpredictable and organic, turns each piece into a landscape in miniature \u2014 subtle, meditative, and rich in detail.
